If you can’t get to Manchester this winter, the Warehouse Project livestream is the next best thing, and it costs nothing. Two nights from the club’s 20th anniversary season will be broadcast through Apple Music Club Live, with no subscription or account needed to tune in.
The two nights to put in your diary
Both broadcasts come from Depot Mayfield, the club’s current home. Here is what is planned:
- October 30: Overmono and Andy C playing back to back
- December 19: Carl Cox, 2manydjs and Chloé Caillet
2manydjs are the Belgian pairing, and Chloé Caillet is a French DJ and producer. You can watch each night as it happens through Apple Music’s Club Radio channel.
Catching up afterwards
Miss the live stream and you may still get a second chance. Select sets will be available on demand in Spatial Audio, though that part is for subscribers only. If you want to hear a particular set again with good headphones, that is the route to take.
Why this matters to fans
Club nights usually belong to one room in one city. A free broadcast means people who can’t make the trip, or can’t face the queue, still get to hear some of the anniversary lineup as it happens. It won’t replace standing on the floor, but it widens who gets to take part.
It also fits a pattern. Apple Music has already streamed sets from EDC Las Vegas and Tomorrowland this year, and earlier this month it ran its Head Trip livestream with Skrillex, Four Tet, Calvin Harris and others. Live club and festival coverage clearly matters more to streaming platforms than it used to.
A bit of background
Warehouse Project has spent two decades turning industrial spaces across Manchester into dance floors. Depot Mayfield hosts its long winter run of late-running sessions, so these two broadcasts only show a small slice of the season.
No other dates or artists have been mentioned for the livestream, so keep an eye on Apple Music for anything further. While you wait, you can browse more artist news and our music festivals coverage.
