Tomorrowland recently addressed speculation regarding a possible festival in Thailand, clarifying that no official plans have been confirmed despite recent reports suggesting otherwise. Below image was shared on social media and received tremendous support from all over the world.
In a recent statement, Tomorrowland denied earlier claims citing a Thai government spokesperson who indicated that an event had been finalized for 2026. Debby Wilmsen, a spokesperson for Tomorrowland, explained: “In December, the Tomorrowland team had the privilege of engaging in discussions with various parties and exploring potential locations for a Tomorrowland festival in Thailand… Deeply touched by the warm support, we must clarify the recent speculation: nothing has been officially confirmed or signed at this time. The Tomorrowland team is diligently conducting thorough research and exploration to assess the feasibility of hosting Tomorrowland in Thailand. There is still much to be investigated.”
Reports from Thai sources had suggested that Tomorrowland’s potential expansion into Thailand was part of a larger strategy by the government to boost tourism and entertainment in the country. The proposed initiative reportedly aims to establish Thailand as a prime festival destination, with plans for up to 10 Tomorrowland events over the coming decade. However, as of now, none of these details have been confirmed.
This comes as Tomorrowland continues its global reach, with a debut event in Medellín, Colombia, set for May under the brand “CORE Medellín.” This new festival will feature artists like Bicep, ANNA, Agents of Time, Kitty Amor, Chet Faker, Hercules & Love Affair, and Dana Montana, continuing Tomorrowland’s presence in Latin America.
Earlier this year, Thailand announced extended opening hours for clubs in select nightlife districts, allowing them to remain open until 4 AM, a move reflecting the country’s ongoing investment in nightlife and tourism.
